By Crikey All My Love

The rivers calm but flowing and the crocks are back to norm
There's disturbance up in heaven, and brewing of a storm
The movement felt uneasy, 'cause Irwin came to stay
Was called to tend the crocks up here, the ones that went astray
He knew, not all crocks could settle, as they took a soul or two
In doing so were hunted down, being hated through and through
For man does always seek revenge and did what they do best
They killed the crocks by shooting them, the rest we can attest
To Steve correcting most things wrong up here and in the wild
He took to teaching all of us, from aged down to a child
That creatures out there needed him, to stop their sad demise
So now he looks down on us, from somewhere in the skies
But what of those that loved him like Terri, Bindi, Bob
Too eager was his quest for life, he lost there on the job
Then 5,000 came to honour him, Bindi read the written word
The crowd in awe, they shed a tear, at everything they heard
For they could see her Father's strength within her smile and gate
All knew that it is but a spell for Bindi, to meet with fate
To tread the path her Father did, in the outback or the wild
He'll stop to say, by crikey love, don't forget to be a child
For surely there's a heaven and you'll know I'm looking down
On everything that is dear to me, that smile, a tear, a frown
And a gentle breeze will follow like a kiss upon your face
That will keep you safe forever love, me happy in this place
When time is right we'll meet again to finish what was started
Just do your best with Mum and Bob, I'm sorry that I parted
So early! in the prime of life, doing what I had to do
I wish that I could touch your face, Bob and Terri too
Cause there's an aching in my heart you know, not from the stingrays barb
I'll miss the time we'd shared together and wearing khaki garb
Also swimming in the rivers maybe climb a tree or two
And sit there by a camp fire, with Terri, Bob me and you
Then look up to the heaven, find the brightest star
And wonder what gives it light, how near, or just how far
Or, if we could touch it with an outstretched arm
Keep doing all these things my love, tw'll keep you safe from harm
Then fill your life with wonders that no one can take away
So you can tell the stories, I did from day-to-day
Walk tall amongst the people, show respect to beast and man
My past is in your hands now, do as no other can
But remember there's a life for you, I remind you from above
Give a kiss to your Mum and Bob and by crikey all my love
