Tipperary Katherina

You’d hardly know that she was there, this Tipperary Kat!!!
Yet she dumped one lad and found her “Mark”, now knows where she’s at
They’re both just like a pair of doves, all coo-ing and a flutter
How did she win him over?, left the last lad in the gutter
Was it at Tea Gardens, where the Champagne brought her out
Or at the Randwick Races, thar! she knows what she’s about
Then see her slouch behind the bar, as she pours a drink
If her eyes weren’t so wide open, asleep, you’d have to think
But no, she would sustain herself, on toasties, chips and snacks
Her saving grace, “not smoking”, helps to keep her on the tracks
Yet Kat!!! was always busy, as a bumble bee you’d say
No cleaner could the stools have been, where Kat!!! had been that day
Or even signs above the door, became the shiniest of brass
Alas her time at Durty Nelly’s, thus, now has come to pass
We bid thee bye we say farewell, and remember where you’re at
Take time out for all memories good, see ya later Tipperary Kat!!!
