A Likely Bloke

This little poem may well be true
As words of wisdom, kind and blue
So, here’s to Darragh a likely bloke
Loves naughty girls that drink and smoke
Not adverse to same himself
This likely bloke is quite the elf
A voice you’d say was scarred with glass
And pre age gut to match his arse
But work he did without aplumb
Did just the same where he come from
But likely as this bloke may be
Those nights at Cheers for company
There’s no way they could quench his thirst
Could not remember what he drank first
Yet, come to think his clear blue eyes
Could match the best of Aussie skies
That morning after last night’s quest
Was told with gusto as the best
He’d ever see or ever laid
No name to remember that fair maid
Yet somehow in his pocket, sound
A card “Les Girls” with sweat he found
To remind him of his empty vessel
To a likely bloke, I love you – Cecil!
