G-d Bless Ireland

Let’s take a trip through Ierland
Start Coleraine to Derry
Swing by Ballymena, Strabane, where the folks are true and merry
Then Donegal to Omah, Dungannon and Belfast
You take a Guinness, two or three, just hoping that they’ll last
Whilst you visit Armagh, Sligo, Enniskillen on the way
As Monaghan and Newry does beckon on this day
Try Carrick on Shannon, Ballina, Cavan
The sights to see are there to please almost any man
But Dundalk, Westport, Castlebar
Are midway through the Isle, so’s Longford, Ceannos Mor Kells ain’t that bloody far
From Drogheda or Rosscommon, Naven, Tuam to Mullingar
You set a course via Trim, Athlone because Galway’s over thar
Ballinasloe via Tullamore will get you there in Dublin
Big city of the Irish Isle that always is a bubblin
Take pride in Gort with Birr, Kildare you’ll travel then to Naas
So’s Portiaose and Wicklow, these places are a gas
Tis Athy and Nenagh that carries on the flow
Then you’re blown away with all that’s grand in that place they’ve called Carlow
Now you know what’s in Killaloe, why Templemore’s the same
So long as there is a fair play, you’re welcome in the game
Oh my G-d, in Arklow you’ll find it very slick
But for fun and games the place to go is good old Limerick
In Thurles there’s a castle, a town of good and many
Yet the finest drop you’ll ever want is found down in Kilkenny
Now ask yourself where’s Gorey, just down the Ilse a bit
And most people know that Tipperary is sure to make a hit
Because Cashel’s about the middle toward the bottom so they say
Yet you cross to Enniscorthy and you’ve travelled most the way
From East to West and back again over mountains creeks and rivers
To Dingle on the Harbour, where the icy winds send shivers
Until you’re passing through Tralee, Clonmel to Wexford in the East
A place to suit most anyone, be it man or beast
So dare you not, by pass Killarney, Mallow or Fermoy
Just cast a gaze in Waterford as crystal fills your heart with joy
In Cork they’ll take a “Murphys”, Youghal, Bantry, Bandon too
Whilst Cobb, Kinsale and Skibbereen, it’s Jameson’s for you
I guess we’ve travelled North and South, but mostly East and West
Anywhere you go in that green land, it’s people are the best
So whatever pleases man and wife, you’ll find it’s there to be
Twixt the Alantic Ocean and the Irish Sea.
G-d Bless Ireland.
